Philippe de Buck

Member of the European Economic and Social Committee; former Director General of BUSINESSEUROPE

Baron Philippe de Buck is a member of the European Economic and Social Committee. He was Director General of BUSINESSEUROPE between 2002 and 2012. Mr. de Buck was previously CEO of Agoria, a Belgian multi-sector federation for the technology industry, from 1987 to 2001, after holding other management positions within the federation since joining it in 1971.

He is a member of the Board of Directors of ING Belgium and BASF Antwerp, Chairman of the Fund of Patronage of ING Belgium and member of the Board of the Queen Elisabeth College of Music. Mr. de Buck holds a PhD degree in law from Leuven University (KUL) and a master's degree in tax studies from the Ecole Supérieure de Sciences Fiscales (ICHEC) in Brussels.
